The North Thompson Communities Foundation's Sip & Support and Art Auction was a huge hit on October 25 in Barriere. 130 community members came out to support the Foundation's Art and Cultural Fund by participating in a BC wine, beer and cider tasting event, along with bidding on art pieces donated by local artists. Fun was had by all and in the end, $7,019 was raised.
Special Thanks to the people who attended, the artisted who donated (Marie Downing, Tim Francis, Doris Laner, Cinamen Lampreau, Norma Stewart, Tasha Buchanan, Tracy Corrani, Lynn Nordquest, Josie Wilson, Vaughn Butland, Margaret Houben, Beth Northcott, Isabella Brooklyn, Christine Kashuba, Tamme Fossett, Bob Stirling, Tobias Vyseri, Hilda Reimer, Janice Stark, Sandra York, Tammy Noble, Judy Armstrong, Mystic Dreams, Joanna Hurst), and the volunteers - Sandra J’s Charcuterie Bundles (Sandra Realff) Stacey Gartner, Pam Realff, Adam, from The Musicians of Barriere (MOB), Bev Murphy, Jodi Craney, and Bill Fowler.
The Foundation would like to thank all the BC wineries, breweries and cideries who donated their products for people to taste. Without their generous support the event would not be possible. Further the Foundation is grateful to the local businesses who sponsored the event. The Foundation is excited to host this event again next year.
